To answer this question, we explore current issues facing women and men in organizations using theories and concepts from Business and Sociological research. We study how gender intersects with stereotypes, leadership styles, careers, work/life balance, sexuality, and policy change in the workplace. In addition, students will focus on an area of their choice in the group work. Class and group discussions, experiential exercises and films will enhance learning throughout the course. Required textsPowell, G.N. (2011). Women and Men in Management. 4th Edition. SAGE: Thousand Oaks, CA: Sage. Selected journal articles that can be accessed in electronic format from the QEII Library.
