BBC News: Europe's Changing Borders

Trace Europe's changing political, economical, and cultural frontiers. Through a brief text and an animated map the BBC briefly outlines Europe's changing borders from the start of the 20th Century to the present day. From Imperial Europe, to WWI and WWII, the Cold War, the collapse of communism, and finally to EU expansion, this is a good site for gaining a general understanding of Europe's changing borders.
