Dear members and friends: 

Due to a major earthquake in southwest China’s Sichuan Province on May 12, causing disastrous
deaths and destructions, the Chinese Association of Newfoundland & Labrador, in collaboration
with Canadian Red Cross (NL region), would like to appeal to the whole Chinese community,
and the people of Newfoundland, to support and help people in China affected by this earthquake
crisis through financial donation.

Interested individuals/businesses/organizations wishing to make a donation may make cheque
payable to:

Canadian Red Cross (Newfoundland & Labrador Region), earmarked “China Earthquake”, and
mail to:

In addition, we will set up collection boxes in various businesses & premises. All donations will
be gathered collectively on June 4 (Wednesday) and presented to Canadian Red Cross
(Newfoundland & Labrador Region). Tax receipts will also be issued for donation over $10.
