Course Description:

This course introduces the student to the study of the New Testament. The approach is primarily historical, emphasizing both the social and historical context of the New Testament and its cultural and religious environment. Attention will also be given, however, to the literary structure of the documents and the distinctive message of each author.

The date of the final examination will be set by the Registrar.


Notes

 1. The tests may only be written at the time prescribed by the instructor. If you miss a test without a valid reason you will receive zero.


 2. There will be no deferred tests. If you have missed a test for a valid reason your final mark will be based on the remaining test plus the final.


 3. If you miss the final examination you must apply for a deferred examination.


 4. The tests and the final examination will be based on the lectures plus selected readings from the textbook. A list of study questions will be provided to help students focus upon the salient facts and issues.
