Doreen Westera RN, MScN, MEd Doreen Westera is an Associate Professor at the School of Nursing, Memorial University. She is a member of the Canadian Nurses Association and the Canadian Counselling Association. She is also an Associate Staff Member with Intervarsity Christian Fellowship. Further Information about Professor Westera Professor Westera has more than 25 years experience as a nurse educator, having taught at the University of Alberta, Queen's University, and Memorial University. She has conducted workshops and presented papers/posters on the spiritual dimension of nursing practice at national and international conferences.  She teaches a course on spiritual dimensions of nursing practice, a community health/family nursing course, and a counselling course at Memorial University. Professor Westera mainatins a part-time clinical practice in counselling at the Family Life Bureau in St John's, Newfoundland, Canada.
