READINGS IN TECHNOLOGY & EDUCATION

INTRODUCTION

The collection of essays featured in this site consists of a summary and discussion of 8 books. Each essay is followed by links to related books, topics and themes. For the most part, the books can be categorized as 'popular non-fiction' on the themes of technology and/or education.

The summaries are presented as being a personal grasp, understanding, and interpretation of the books. Other summaries of the books are provided in the links.

The discussions of each book focus on one or more themes which I considered significant. It was not my original intention to present 'reviews' of the books in question. Nonetheless, many of the discussions turned out to be more judgemental than planned and, as such, represent a very personal response to the readings.

The links provide further information on the author, the book and related issues. While an attempt was made to locate and provide as many pertinent links as possible, the dynamique and vast nature of the web placed limits on this effort.
