Hi, my name is Matthew Conway and I am 14 years old. I am in grade nine atSt.Paul's school located in St.John's Newfoundland. I am on the St. John's legends swim team. I have been on the swim team for 4 years. My favorite food is Taco's and my favorite movie is Jaws. On the swim team we get to travel all over Eastern Canada like Nova Scotia, Ontario and New Brunswick. We also travel all over Newfoundland. It is fun if you have friends with you. I practise six times a week. Three of my practices are in the morning before school starts. It's okay once you get used to it. I'm still not used to it so I don't really like these practices but I like the ones in the afternoons. I don't think I'll ever get used to it. Well here's my problem. See if you can figure it out.( It is not too hard).
Problem: Four laps of the pool is 100 meters. It takes me 30 seconds to swim a lap. If I swim 1650 meters how many laps did I do and how long did it take me?
