Above that 500kHz Tx uses pair of TV sweep tubes PL519s to give 120watts
output, driven by 6AG7
On top of the Tx is a HB DDS driver
The receiver is a FT990, on top of that is the 500kHz SWR meter
far right is a old 486 notebook used as a keyer, runs in DOS
The output from the Tx is routed down to a shed at the bottom of the
garden. inside is the variometer loading coil and matching transformer.
The current meter is indicating a current of just over 3 amps.
Two wire antenna with spreaders on
top of the mast and at the far end. Mast about 45ft high and 28ft high
at the house end.
