RAC NL Bulletin nlb0806 1) Today is a historic one. It is the final day as SM for your's truly. Charlie VO1VZ takes over tomorrow as our new SM. He is an excellent candidate and I'm very grateful to him for accepting this position. Please give him your full support. A trophy arrived in NL today in the form of a pin from the World Radio Conference which was held in Geneva last year. We can be justly proud of the Newfoundlanders who made significant contributions towards securing a new band for all radio amateurs at this conference. The pin was sent by Canadian delegate Dr Ken Pulfer VE3PU. This day will also be rememembered by NL hockey fans as well. 2) Your SM has received much praise for his 12 years in office and is concerned about the possibliliy of a swolen ego. Accordingly he will be grateful for a frank and critical review of his performance as SM. Please feel free to roast him by sending any unflatttering comments you may have to vo1na@rac.ca. Finally Happy Canada Day, but please pay repects to our fellow Newfoundlanders and Labradorians who sacrificed all for our freedom in World War I. This is VO1RAC official bulletin station of Radio Amateurs of Canada.
