Carl VO1UL of SAARA, Net Control Operator, has proposed to change the Net Frequency from
3785 to 3740 kHz to take effect on 9 Feb 2004. He has advised the NL NCS and Section Managers
for NL and MAR of the proposal. The change will be permanently adopted pending the
outcome of a one month trial.
Any inquiries concerning the RAC field organisation may be directed to VO1BC(.at.)RAC.CA or
VO1NA(.at.)RAC.CA Both Ian and Joe are regulars on the Evening Traffic Net at 7:00 PM local time.
All amateurs in the section are encouraged to apply for and use the special
call signs VO1RAC and VO2RAC as appropriate during the Canada Day and Winter contests.
These call signs are issued by the RAC Atlantic Director, VO1AU, who has
made up a policy for the assignment of these callsigns.
Intruder Watch:
Please report intruders
to the NL Evening Traffic Net.

Technician Quiz
Pictured above is a big coil from the junkbox of VO1HP. And yes, that is
an 807 to give you an idea of how big it really is. Your task is to
estimate the inductance. The RAC member who submits the most accurate and
creative estimate (as judged by the MUN Physics Dept.) will be given a free
807 (the wet type) at the graduate Students' Pub, Bitters at Memorial University, compliments of MRCN.
All entries should be submitted to VO1NA and postmarked or sent by email before 1 Jun 2003.
WE HAVE A WINNER!!
John VO1JDH made some astute observations and came up with the best
guess. See you at Bitters, John!
Tech Quiz #2

vertices). Calculate the impedance (2.45 GHz) between any 2 vertices. The sides are 5 cm long.
Entries due by 30 June 2007.

Please forward suggestions, updates, revisions
and new listings to VO1NA. Note: Some of these calls are not listed on the
ARRL list becase they predated computerisation of records. Efforts are made to
ensure accuracy, but there may be errors. Mixed and CW totals are up to date as
of 19 June 2007. Please note that SK refers to the DXCC recipient and the
corresponding callsign may have been reissued to another amateur. A listing of
