DOY lookup table. Find DOY (Day-of-Year) from date. Essential for analyses involving dates. DOY here is mathematically correct (i.e. begins with 0, not 1). Note that DOY is often, but incorrectly, called 'Julian Day'.

AN EFFECTIVE INEXPENSIVE TRAP FOR UPSTREAM-MIGRATING FISH AND OTHER AQUATIC ANIMALS.
Contains detailed instructions for building the same trap I designed for my goby work. I sent plans to Mike Fitzsimons in 1990 and was happy to hear from Dave Tate in 1996 that the Hawaii people had since been using it as the "Bell trap".
Personal note: The main problem I found was that at some sites the trap or the catch had often been taken (the fish are, justifiably, a delicacy in Dominica), so I spent some time letting all the local people know what I was doing; that itself was not only effective but it was gratifying to see the interest.
