Miriam Anderson is Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science at Memorial University in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. Dr. Anderson researches peace processes and post-conflict reconstruction. Her work considers transnational advocacy networksÕ influence on peace agreements and the impact of international norms in post-conflict states. Dr. Anderson worked as a human rights officer for the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) in Croatia from 1999-2002. She has also observed elections in Bosnia-Herzegovina and Croatia and has volunteered with NGOs in Nicaragua and El Salvador.

Dr. Anderson teaches on topics of international politics. Some examples of recent courses taught are: 1020 Issues in World Politics; 2010 Research and Writing in Political Science; 3220 International Organizations; 4230 Theories of International Relations.


Dr. Anderson is open to supervising students in the following areas of research, among others:
