A 40 Bar Reel for three couples

  1 - 4 1st, 2nd and 3rd couples, giving right hands, cross over and set.
  5 - 6 1st and 3rd couples turn by the right hand three-quarters round to end in a line in the centre of the set, the men facing down and the women facing up, while the second couple, giving right hands, cross back to own side. (Figure 1 - not yet available)
  7 - 8 All set.
   
  9 - 12 1st and 3rd couples dance a half reel of four in the centre of the set. At the end of the reel, 1st woman 1st woman faces 2nd man and 3rd man faces 2nd woman in a line of four across the set.
  13 - 16 1st woman and 3rd man dance a half reel of four across the dance with 2nd couple. (Figure 2 - not yet available) At the end of the reel, 1st woman and 3rd man face own partners, once again in a line of four in the centre of the set.
  17 - 20 1st and 3rd couples dance a half reel of four in the centre of the set.
  21 - 22 1st and 3rd couples turn partner with the right hand once round to finish in original places.
  23 - 24 All set.
   
  25 - 26 1st and 2nd couples dance right hands across halfway round while 3rd couple, giving left hands, cross over. (Figure 3 - not yet available)
  27 - 28 1st and 3rd couples dance left hands across halfway round while 2nd couple, giving right hands, cross over.
  29 - 30 2nd and 3rd couples dance right hands across halfway round while 1st couple, giving left hands, cross over.
  31 - 32 2nd and 1st couples dance left hands across halfway round.
   
  33 - 40 All dance a diagonal right and left as follows:
 

33 - 34 1st man with 2nd man, 1st woman with 3rd woman, giving right hand, change places.

35 - 36 1st man with 3rd woman, 1st woman with 2nd man, giving left hand, change places on the side.
37 - 38 1st man with 2nd woman, 1st woman with 3rd man, giving right hand, change places.
39 - 40 1st man with 3rd man, 1st woman with 2nd woman, giving left hand, change places on the side.
   
 Repeat having passed a couple
   
 Note: The hands across and crossing movements during bars 25 - 32 should flow continuously, one from the other. There is no crossing on bars 31 - 32.
