Description

 1 -  8

The departure -- down the Bristol Channel and away

First couple set, dance down through second couple (touching nearer hands), cast down behind third couple, meet below them and lead up to face first corner. (Figure 1)

 9 - 12

The stormy seas send you in all directions

First couple set to first corner and turn them by the right hand to finish in a line of three across the dance, first woman facing second woman, first man facing third man. (Figure 2)

13 - 16
First couple dance a half reel of three across the dance passing left shoulder to begin. On bar 16, first couple give left hand in passing to finish facing their second corner in person (who is now on the opposite side of the dance). (Figure 3)

17 - 24
First couple repeat bars 9 - 16 from these new positions. On bar 24, first couple dance to finish in second place on their original side.

25 - 32

In the safe harbour at last!

First couple set, change places giving right hand, set, and change places giving right hand,

meanwhile

Second and third couples dance right and left.
