The address of the Nursing and Midwifery Council (which replaced the UKCC) is frequently requested for information about midwifery programmes both for direct-entry and for nurses. It is important to remember that any programme must meet the requirements of the jurisdiction where an application for licensure will eventually be made. Therefore, it is advisable to find out the requirements before entering a programme outside of that province.
