My Interests...

As an undergraduate student, I attended the University of New Brunswick, Fredericton campus.  After graduating, I worked in Happy Valley - Goose Bay, Labrador, as Environmental Officer with the Labrador Métis Nation.

I then attended Memorial University of Newfoundland, to obtain a Masters degree in Biology. Since then I have worked with Fisheries and Oceans Canada, in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador.

In addition to working with Fisheries and Oceans, I am a part time PhD student at Memorial University. Dr. Paul Snelgrove (supervisor), Dr. Robert Gregory and Dr. Ian Fleming comprise my PhD committee. In general, I am interested in coastal fishes; life history, population biology, predator-prey interactions, habitat associations, and community change. Currently, I am studying a guild of juvenile gadoids that utilize nearshore habitats along the north east coast of Newfoundland.
