Dr. Cordova (aka resident mouse whisperer) has a PhD in Neurobiology from UCSD where he focused on understanding the neurobiology of behaviour. He is currently a Research Techician where he is looking at the physiology and behaviour of CD24 knock-out mice. He also teaches human physiology.

Viswa is pursuing his MSc where he is working on understanding how CD24 might regulate fat cell development through the regulation of genes important for this process.

Craig is a PhD student whose main research focus has been on the discovery and characterization of microvesicles derived from B lymphocytes in response to stimulation of CD24.

Niki is a PhD student with research interests in understanding the regulation and progression of breast cancer. Here she is with her award for winning the L.M. Stead award for the best Oral presentation by a PhD student at the summer Biochemistry Symposium.

Nicole Smith is a former MSc student and Research Associate and a current PhD student. She is co-supervised by Dr. Mathew Rise (Dept. of Ocean Sciences) and Dr. Christian. Her research interests are in understanding how we can measure and modulate the innate immune system of fish.

Yang is  a undergraduate research working at Dr.Christian's lab since September 2015. She is involved in a collaboration with the Brosnan lab investigating formate metabolism in cancer cells. She also helps out in the lab with everything from autoclaving to PCR genotyping.

Chantae Garland is a previous honours student and current undergraduate assistant. She is interested in the interactions between breast cancer cells and adipocytes. She is also a jack-of-all trades in the lab.
