Responsibilities: Budget; hiring and supervision
of all teaching and research staff; program development; software
development; liaison with K-12 system.
Major contributions: Developed a math skills
upgrading program; designed and supervised the development of innovative
mathematics education software; designed and developed distance
education programs in developmental mathematics; supervised the
development of a teacher-mentoring program at the MLC; established good
working relationships with the Department of Education, School Boards
and social advocacy groups; survived 16 years of repeated funding
crises.
