Encounter at Frasne
Two
regiments of French line infantry, backed up by batteries of the Artillerie
à Pied of the Imperial Guard, are tasked to seize the main roads
to Brussels ahead of the army. This would split the British and Prussian
forces before they can come together to resist Bonaparte. |
The Allied side consists of a Prussian Landwehr regiment
and two 8lb batteries. A British regiment hastily marched to the
front at the sound of the guns, accompanied by the 1st Regiment of King's
German Legion Light Dragoons. They must delay the French as much as possible
to give their respective armies timeto form up. |
