Return
to Soviet Heavy Forces for Crossfire Competition
All AFVs are PST. One of the IS-2 models is actually
a PST KV-122 kit (Supposedly these were rebuilt KV-85s with an IS-2 turret
plopped on the KV chassis - not very common, but an interesting model,
nonetheless). The ISU-122 and 152 kits have identical parts sprues,
so I left the gun and mantlet assemblies loose to switch on the same chassis,
depending on which model is needed. I use a little bit of "Hold It"
type putty/plaster to ensure the guns don't fall off!
The figures are mostly Revell, with a smattering of ESCI,
including the very old hard plastic ESCI molds, which I am certain
were scaled up and only slightly modified by Airfix for
their 1/32 figures and Tamiya for some of their 1/35 scale Soviet figures.
This picture shows the two squads that were allocated
for the recce phase of the game. The white chips represent the number
of smoke shoots both ISU-152 have.
