Unfortunately, Ron's scheduled team mate was unable to show
up so Ron, having only one CF game to his credit went at it alone.
He made a good showing, Dave and John McD, dropping by to offer encouragement
(but forbidden to play by the umpire as they'd already had a go in games
2 and 4). |

the jagdtiger. It was embroiled in a firefight with Fireflies on
the main hill and Ron managed to get a Sherman and a PIAT behind it.
In order to turn and deal with the Sherman, the jagdtger had to back up
behind the cover of the church (the Firflies were to the right of this
picture). Reactive fire from the Sherman bounced off and the German
tank destroyer began to swivel around... |
