Directions & Map to Facilities Management Seminar Room

Refer to the map image below. This assumes you know how to get to the university from the south, Elizabeth Avenue, or the north, Prince Phillip Drive.
There are three possible routes to the FM building, two are shown here as blue lines from Elizabeth Avenue and Prince Phillip Drive. You could also enter via Allendale Road driving through Burton's Pond apartments along the road of the same name and connect to the blue line from Elizabeth Avenue. The FM building is where security and parking (Campus Enforcement and Patrol) is located. The actual building is right next to the Music building. On the map, it is the building with the tank, APC, and cavalry silhouettes on it. I've marked entrances with red dots. You'll note there are two. The door on the north side, closer to Prince Phillip, is behind the building in the corner. It is part of a loading dock with metal stairs. The classroom is very close to that inside the door. I recommend that you bring vehicles into this are, marked as parking lot 13, to bring your stuff to the classroom. You may be able to leave your car in that area, but remember that it is a maintenance lot and in the remote chance that there may be there be an emergency requiring crews from our department to deploy with heavy equipment or in the event of a snowfalls with snow removal equipment, there could be considerable activity here. Probably the safest place to park is the small lot on the south side of the building marked yellow. In the above image of the actual FM building, the lot is to the left. The entrance at the left of the picture, shown behind the parked cars, is the south entrance marked with a red dot on the map image below. Half the spots in the small parking lot are metered, the other 8-10 (to the left of the above photograph, out of the picture) require a permit; however, this will not be a problem in the evenings, weekends or holidays, though often Music Building functions or ceremonies result in both metered and permit parts of the lot could be filled by people attending these events.
Other possibilities for parking are also marked in yellow - these are metered spots. Sometimes the gated lot 15B is open, but not always. Parking at the university is an exercise in
frustration during a normal day and the loss of the very large paking lot where the new residence construction is taking place is also a royal PITA. Sorry...
WITH RESPECT TO FEEDING METERS, I will need to check each session to see how Security is dealing with this and let you know ahead of time, if possible |

Once inside, follow the red line indicated in the floor map below.
My office is as indicated in the south end, the seminar room is at the north end of the building, closest to the north entrance. Using the north entrance, even if you do not want to park in lot 13, is useful for carrying stuff in and out of the building. |
