Well, we are losing a good player.  John is off to TO for a year.  So we had to set something up for a final hurrah so that even he could win 8) and leave on a good note.  We decided on a Crossfire scenario...Unfortunately because of last minute inavailability of some of our regular gamers, I had to design something fast.  I chose a very hypothetical Italian campaign US/German scenario, not really researched, but balanced to provide a decent game.  There were 4 objectives to which each side assigned points and at the end of the game assessed against the opposing side.  Rather than the usual narrative, I'll just show pics... with the odd silly caption.
Reserve units in wait
Some of John's German troops (Revell) & light armour (ESCI SDKFZ 250s) skulk behind a hill as reserves while Tim & Andrew's American forces move forward.

John being serious There they are!
John  OK, Chris.  If I look serious and make mad insane charges across the battlefield, we can win this. Chris E: Here they come!  Umm, speaking of seriousness, what the hell did you do with the map of all our hidden stuff locations?
