The Larry Leadhead Web Site A web comic strip for and about wargamers.

Miniature Zone "Military Miniatures Webpages for Smallscale Enthusiasts". A lot of wonderful battle reports and articles featuring some of my favourite figure and model manuacturers.

Wargaming.info "...being a website devoted to an interest in gaming with (mostly) historical miniatures." News and features about various wargaming genres, including a good section on Crossfire. The site also hosts the official Crossfire Web Site.

Freewargamesrules "The place on the web for free miniature rules". Rule sets and variations for many different periods.

Wargame flags A well known site for miniature flags.

Bob Mackenzie's Web Page "Wargames & Models (20mm & 6mm)". This site has a lot of really wonderful battle reports. I'd also recommend having a read of his discussion on scenario design that can be found under his "wargames" link (I can't provide a direct link as it is a frames site).

Historical Miniatures Gaming Society (HMGS) This is a link to the Northwest chapter of the HMGS. This site has links to the other chapters as well as an excellent model and figure gallery and some articles, including a Viet Nam variant for Crossfire. There are links to many of the other HMGS chapters

Piquet is a rule system for multiple periods. It is a major departure from the traditional "I go You go" style of rules structure and provides a lot of uncertainty. We use it for a lot of our US Civil War games and it is an excellent set of rules.

Wargames Timeline.  Originally part of the Courier on line magazine (for which I've lost the link), this is well worth a long read!

Miniature Wargaming A wargames resource site with a discussion forum.

Map Symbols Page by Tom Mouat.  Downloadable fonts - it was from here I got the troops, Panther and SDKFZ 250 for my animated gifs.

The Diplomatic Pouch a site for the board game Diplomacy, which we adapted for a couple of miniatures campaigns some time ago.

The Diplomacy Corps is another Diplomacy site

Ottawa Miniature Gamers based in Ottawa.  I lived in the Ottawa area for a few years, but, unfortunately only heard about this group years after moving back to Newfoundland.

Schild & Vriend is a club in Belgium, with an interesting section on wargaming themes and ideas.

Wargaming Blogs (Back to Tim's Links or Wargaming Links)

Geektactica "Painting, gaming, and geeking of all forms in St. John's, Newfoundland". A blog by a local fellow who is an accomplished painter and builder of small scale buildings!

John Street Gamers are gaming friends here in St. John's who are involve with a lot of different gaming projects.

Fawcett Avenue Conscripts are based in Winnipeg, Manitoba and "...are a group of table-top wargamers who get together every Thursday night...". They actually had a web site with some Crossfire content a number of years ago to which I had a link. This blog is, I think, a resurrection of that site.

Charge! Civil War Wargaming Modeling, history, and wargaming.

Crossfire Links and Pages (Back to Tim's Links or Wargaming Links)

Go or Return To Tim's Crossfire Pages A direct link to my own Crossfire pages, house rules, rules clarifications, suggestions for multi-player games and so on.

Crossfire Official Web Site Links to other players' house rules, reviews, and how to subscribe to the Crossfire yahoo discussion group.

Lloydian Aspects: Crossfire This is one of the first sites (other than my own) I can recall that had a section on Crossfire. Amongst the many Crossfire and other interesting pages here, is an excellent description of the game that I often recommend to players considering trying these rules. The parent site, Lloydian Aspects, is also interesting and includes sections on modeling with some excellent articles on models and terrain.

Balagan Crossfire hosts many interesting "thoughts and ideas on the Crossfire rule set". It also has a useful and detailed CF FAQ. The parent site is Military History and Wargaming.

IanH's Wargame Pages: Crossfire and Hit The Dirt features Crossfire and the author's micro scale (6mm) figures and models for the game. The parent site is IanH's Wargame Pages that features various rules and genres. There's good stuff here on making hex based terrain as well as general notes on small scale (6mm) terrain.

Matakishi's Teahouse: Crossfire Page is one wargamer's interesting perspective on Crossfire. It is part of a much larger parent miniatures site, Matakishi's Teahouse.

Yahoo Group: Modern Crossfire is a mail list group that focuses on modification of Crossfire for modern wargaming. The name of the rules is Volume of Fire and the group is a very active one. I generally don't include yahoo groups as links, but these folks have done a lot of work on the modern variant.

Yahoo Group: Company Commander is a mail list group that is playtesting a modification of Crossfire for 1:1 representation for WWI to the "near future". Again, I generally don't include yahoo groups as links, but the admins of this group have done a lot of work and have included some ideas from my own house rules.

Contre Les Viets is a set of house rules by a member of the Hong Kong Society of Wargamers, HKSW.

Steve's Wargame Page covers diverse wargaming interests and there is a scenarios section that includes some conversions of the old Avalon Hill Squad Leader game scenarios to Crossfire.

My Homepage! is a wargaming page with some Crossfire material.

Signal Hobbies, St John's NL.  Largely R/C and railway supplies, I go to this store to get most of my terrain making materials as well as paints and other military modelling supplies.  These guys have been around since the early 90s and their staying power, given the difficult times other local hobby stores have fallen upon is remarkable.

The Plastic Soldier Review is a great site with scans of various figure packs from different manufacturers.

On The Way is a review site of 1:72 model vehicles, a really valuable resource. It has been around for a long time, though its URLL has changed.

Grandiosity, Ohio - rules & metal stuff. This is where I ordered my Crossfire rules and some other books.
