Although there are no reports/photos here (yet) of any of our 6mm games, many of the guys in our group are into and have run many excellent games with 6mm figures.
War of the Spanish Succession - Austrians attacking French.  Yes, that's 2mm, ie, 1/900 scale...

Hobby Show 2003 - 25mm ancients

Hobby Show 2002 - A couple of shots of Rob H's Napoleonics.

Background (Back to Top)

Having long been WWII and, since the mid-90s, ACW land wargamers, I think the bunch of us who having been playing together for so long are somewhat unique in the world of wargaming in that we are relatively focused.  Perhaps that's a wrong conclusion, but it's the impression I get from communicating with other wargamers via the internet and during my travels.  In the past number of years, we've joined some other long time wargamers in the St. John's area who have armies and interests in other areas, including fantasy & sci fi.  Thus we have specific persons who "supply and provide" specific genres, so that no one person gets overwhelmed with interest in a gazillion different periods.  Even one fellow in Mount Pearl, who's concentration of metal figures of many different periods and scales threatens to unbalance the earth's tectonic forces focuses his efforts so that he can host and run very large games.  We were all able to come together thanks to the local hobby shows as well as via internet contacts.
