1-72 Matilda I from Plastic Card
A project I did in 2002 as I did not know of any suppliers of plastic, resin or metal Matilda Is.  Of course, I was well under way when a friend let me know of a supplier...  And even worse, the Matilda I is not really used in a lot of battles, despite all the work these required.  That's why there's a pile of Arras 1940 battle reports in my WWII pictures.

The three Matilda I.  I used tracks from two Airfix Chi-Ha kits for the front two and sliced some old Tig II tracks (from what company, I'm not sure) lengthwise for the third.  I scavenged sprockets, return rollers and idlers from various bits and the 96 individual road wheels were cut from plastic dowel.  Everything else was plastic card.

Crewman from the Matchbox Stuart.

Underside view.  Most of the references for this came from my books, though I found a really good site with a restored Matilda I at some armour show in the UK, but darned if I can't find it now.  I also used the plan view from this a Russian site (which is no longer active) extensively.
