The Strategic Partnership is a partnership of business, labour and the provincial government that is dedicated to the social and economic development of Newfoundland and Labrador. 'Strategic Partnership' is the umbrella term which includes the Strategic Partnership Council, the Strategic Partnership Secretariat, the Executive Committee and the various standing and ad hoc committees of the Council. The current committees of the Council are: Labour Market, Employment Relations, Population, Innovation, and Transportation and Communications Infrastructure.

Dr House serves as the working Chair of the Strategic Partnership Council which is the governing body of the Strategic Partnership. He also chairs the Council's Executive Committee and is an ad hoc member of the Secretariat as well as each of the standing and ad hoc committees.
