Philippe LeBlanc is part-time research assistant working in the department of Geography of Memorial University of Newfoundland with Dr. Rodolphe Devillers. Philippe has a BSc and MSc in Forestry from Laval University and worked with GIS applied to natural resources for several years. Philippe is in charge of the data integration and database management as well as several other tasks related to the project.

Matthew Windle is PhD candidate in Biology at Memorial University of Newfoundland under the supervision of Dr. George Rose, together with Dr. Rodolphe Devillers. He completed his MSc in Biology in 2006 from Memorial University with a focus on cod ecology. He is now working on the GeoCod project at the Fisheries Conservation Chair on the relationships between shrimp, cod, crab and capelin and environment variables in the NW Atlantic region.

Valérie Carette is an MSc candidate in Geomatics at Laval University under the supervision of Dr. Mir Abolfazl Mostafavi, together with the Drs Rodolphe Devillers and George Rose. She completed her BSc in Geomatics from Laval and is now working within the GeoCod project to design approaches to characterize fish aggregations at different scales using geospatial techniques.

He will use a regression tree technique for his honours thesis project to identify the main environmental variables playing a role in some species abundances and distributions.
