Blocks of rooms have been reserved at two different locations. This includes 10 rooms at Hometel, located near the Signal Hill historical landmark in downtown St. John’s, and 25 rooms at the Guv’nor Inn, located within 900 metres (approx. a half mile) from university campus. Just mention your attendance to ICPC 2015 if you have a chance.
Rooms at Hometel should cost $135 (plus applicable taxes). Reservations must be made by Thursday, April 30th. When making a reservation, guests can call toll free (+00)1-866-739-7799 or email at reservations@hometels.ca. They will require the following information:
- Group Name: “ICPC 2015 Conference”
- First & Last Name
- Arrival Date
- Approximate Arrival Time &/or Flight Information
- Departure Date
- Credit Card to guarantee
- Any Special requests
Should a cancellation be necessary once booked, they require a 7-day cancellation notice to avoid cancellation charge. Please note that all rooms at Hometel are smoke free.
Rooms at the Guv’nor Inn should cost $125 (plus applicable taxes). Reservations must be made by Wednesday, May 20th. When making a reservation, guests can call toll free (+00)1-800-961-0092 or email at reservations@theguvnor.ca. They will require the following information:

- First & Last Name
- Arrival Date
- Approximate Arrival Time &/or Flight Information

Other accommodations are listed on the City of St. John’s website, accessible here. For a more 'local' experience, we recommend staying at a Bed and Breakfast somewhere downtown.
Please note that access to campus from downtown will require planning, due to the scarcity of public bus services. We will follow up with more information about this at a later stage. We can also help with arranging for taxi and/or car pooling. Please feel free to contact us so we make sure to make your stay and access to the conference as comfortable as possible. Whichever option you decide to go for, we recommend that you make your flight and hotel bookings early as the conference overlaps with the beginning of our tourist season.
