The Bibliothèque nationale, Paris, has a print of the two views of St. John's put together, with the dividing line clearly visible, reproduced in "Paul-Émile Miot: 19th century photographer of Newfoundland" by Michael Wilkshire and Gerald Penney (see bibliography). The basilica clearly visible on the horizon was completed only a few years earlier in 1855.

La Bibliothèque nationale à Paris possède une épreuve des deux vues de St. John's mis ensemble, avec la ligne de partage clairement visible. Elle est reproduite dans "Paul-Émile Miot: 19th century photographer of Newfoundland" de Michael Wilkshire et Gerald Penney (voir notre bibliographie). La basilique clairement visible à l'horizon fut achevée seulement quelques années auparavant, en 1855.
